His contributions played a crucial role in helping the club secure promotion to the Bundesliga.
After his successful stint at Freiburg, Sané decided to continue his football journey and joined 1. FC Nürnberg in 1990. During his time there, he showcased his goal-scoring abilities again, netting an impressive 12 goals in just 28 appearances.
