High School Basketball Coach Fired After Impersonating A 13 Y/O Player

Get into this.

An assistant girls' basketball coach in Virginia has been reportedly fired after being accused of impersonating a 13-year-old Jr Varsity basketball player on her team and actually participating in a game last week.

According to reports, Arlisha Boykins, 22, played in a game at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia, against Nansemond River. Boykins filled in for one of her players, who was out of town for a club tournament, according to the girl's parents.

"Coaches always preach to the kids about integrity and those types of things, so I was just shocked," the girl's father said. They also decided to pull their daughter off of the team following the incident.

Boykins was relieved of her duties, and Churchland High School also fired the Truckers’ junior varsity head coach and the head coach of the varsity team, who they say “encouraged the behavior” of Boykins. Parents and the Churchland JV players have chosen to sit out for the rest of the season and not play any more games.
